At ONE ORTHODONTICS we have built a consultant-led service designed for the referrals that don't fit a standard pathway. When a case calls for advanced orthodontics, surgical input, or a combined medical and dental view, you can refer it to us with confidence. Your patient is in experienced hands from first assessment to completion.

The cases we're here for

• Impacted teeth and impacted canines: exposure, alignment and combined surgical and orthodontic management

• Orthognathic and surgical cases: jaw discrepancies planned jointly by our in-house consultant orthodontist and consultant maxillofacial surgeon

• Hypodontia: space management and restorative-driven planning, including preparation for implants

• Airway and sleep-disordered breathing: growth and airway-focused assessment and treatment

• Complex adult cases, including aesthetically demanding and interdisciplinary treatment

• Anchorage cases requiring mini-implants (TADs)

• Previously treated, relapsed or medically complex cases

What you can expect back

Fast, detailed feedback. Every referral is answered with a prompt, thorough letter setting out our assessment, diagnosis and proposed plan, written to be useful to you and your patient.

Your patient stays yours. We treat the case you refer and return the patient to your care. You refer, and the patient comes back to you. We protect that relationship.

Who you're referring to

Referrals are led by Dr Chris Donaldson, Consultant Orthodontist and Clinical Director, who is dual-qualified in medicine and dentistry with hospital consultant experience in complex, digitally planned care. Surgical cases are assessed and managed in-house with Mr Ash Messiha, Consultant Maxillofacial Surgeon, who is also dual-qualified in medicine and dentistry. Orthodontic and surgical planning happen together, under one roof.

Learn with us

Through the ONE ORTHO Academy we host CPD evenings for referring colleagues across the area, open to general dental practitioners as well as specialists. To be invited to the next session, let us know when you refer, or contact the clinic.
