Every patient at ONE ORTHODONTICS is assessed and treated under the care of a consultant. Most of our patients are teenagers having braces or clear aligners for the first time, and the same consultants look after adults and the more complex cases.

Specialist braces and clear aligners for teenagers and adults in Cobham, planned and led by a hospital consultant orthodontist.
Chris founded the clinic and leads its clinical team. Many of the clinic's patients are teenagers having braces or aligners for the first time. Every patient is assessed and has their treatment planned by a specialist consultant, and Chris oversees the patients under his care from the first appointment to the last.
He qualified in both medicine and dentistry from King's College London before completing specialist training in orthodontics and remains registered with both the GMC and the GDC. Since 2021 he has also been a Consultant Orthodontist at a London NHS hospital, where much of his work is treating children and teenagers with complex problems, and where he teaches orthodontic specialists in training and leads the hospital's digital treatment planning and 3D printing service across medical and dental specialties. For parents, it means the person planning and overseeing your child's treatment is also the person who teaches the next generation of orthodontists.

Because Chris treats the complex end of orthodontics in his hospital practice, a case that is complex from the start, or becomes complex during treatment, does not need to be referred on. He treats the same range privately:

The treatment has at all times been explained in terms both I and my daughter can understand, which makes all the difference in getting a teen to engage and ‘own’ their treatment!

Chris is methodical and detailed in his approach and explains the plan so everyone knows what is proposed and why.
Late Wednesday and Saturday appointments make it easier to fit treatment around school.

Mr Ashraf Messiha is a Consultant Maxillofacial Surgeon with extensive experience in the assessment and surgical management of facial and jaw conditions. He is dual-qualified in medicine and dentistry and has completed higher specialist training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at leading UK institutions.
Ash’s clinical practice focuses on conditions affecting facial form, jaw function and facial balance. This includes corrective jaw (orthognathic) surgery, facial asymmetry and deformity, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, facial trauma and reconstructive surgery. His background also includes specialist training in facial aesthetics and septorhinoplasty, allowing him to consider both function and appearance when planning treatment.
Within the NHS, Ash holds a Consultant post and is a core member of several specialist multidisciplinary teams, including the Cranio-Orbito-Facial deformity team and the Joint Orthognathic team. He has played a leading role in developing services for post-traumatic facial deformity and has significant experience in facial trauma surgery and the management of facial skin cancers.
Alongside his clinical work, Ash is actively involved in postgraduate education and training. He is the Educational Lead for the Pan-London Oral and Maxillofacial Faculty at the London Deanery, contributing to the training and assessment of future specialists.
