Chris is our Clinical Lead and Consultant Orthodontist, with dual medical and dental training and advanced specialist expertise. He focuses on delivering personalised, stable and aesthetic outcomes, from routine alignment to complex dento-facial planning.
Chris takes a planning-led approach to care. This means looking beyond tooth alignment alone and considering facial balance, jaw development, joint health and the airway before recommending treatment. For many patients, this is particularly important where previous orthodontic treatment has been unsuccessful, where facial changes are a concern, or where long-term stability matters as much as appearance.
His clinical interests include advanced smile and facial aesthetics, dento-facial orthopaedics, airway-related development, and the digital planning of complex facial and jaw procedures. These interests reflect a focus on precision, careful diagnosis and tailored treatment rather than one-size-fits-all solutions.
Chris grew up locally and was educated at the Royal Grammar School in Guildford before going on to study both medicine and dentistry in London at King's College London. Alongside private practice, Chris works as a Consultant Orthodontist within the NHS at a London hospital, where he leads and trains specialist orthodontic trainees. This role ensures his clinical practice remains grounded in evidence-based care, peer review and current best practice.

Jaw & Facial Surgery Team Lead

Mr Ashraf Messiha is a Consultant Maxillofacial Surgeon with extensive experience in the assessment and surgical management of facial and jaw conditions. He is dual-qualified in medicine and dentistry and has completed higher specialist training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at leading UK institutions.
Ash’s clinical practice focuses on conditions affecting facial form, jaw function and facial balance. This includes corrective jaw (orthognathic) surgery, facial asymmetry and deformity, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, facial trauma and reconstructive surgery. His background also includes specialist training in facial aesthetics and septorhinoplasty, allowing him to consider both function and appearance when planning treatment.
Within the NHS, Ash holds a Consultant post and is a core member of several specialist multidisciplinary teams, including the Cranio-Orbito-Facial deformity team and the Joint Orthognathic team. He has played a leading role in developing services for post-traumatic facial deformity and has significant experience in facial trauma surgery and the management of facial skin cancers.
Alongside his clinical work, Ash is actively involved in postgraduate education and training. He is the Educational Lead for the Pan-London Oral and Maxillofacial Faculty at the London Deanery, contributing to the training and assessment of future specialists.
